[This is part of a message from a friend.]
“We really are under siege in education. I read the book Outcome-Based Education. [See link at end of this article.]
“Yes, these things have been set in place, ready to be implemented, as soon as there was enough money, and enough way of marketing it, enough will, and enough people in enough positions [of power] to push all of this through, in a very sequential, logical (in their mind), and deliberate kind of way.
“That’s the thing that’s so sad about it. It’s not like anybody stumbled on a piece of it and suddenly pushed it through – No, this has all been mapped out for a long time – in little chunks, incrementalism, very patiently put in order – all to the detriment of our people and our kids. It’s heartbreaking, really.
“We can pray, and we can work, and we can keep up faith, and we do.”
TO ALL OF YOU IN THE TRENCHES:
Thanks for your relentless efforts to shed light and try to reverse the course of education in our country. And thanks just for caring about these issues. You could choose to completely walk away and say, “You know, I don’t have time for this,” but yet you persist. So thank you, thank you, thank you for staying in this battle for our country.
