Below is an email from Frank Francone, talking about some of the real dangers of Amendment 69.  I have added titles and section divisions for easier reading.

After his email are resources to help study and understand Amendment 69.  I hope to have a separate blog with Amendment 69 resources.

Subject: The Real Danger

Dear – – – ,

Nobody told me that monsters were real.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing hiding in the closet looking to eat children. . .

What could be such a monstrous threat to Colorado? Amendment 69, also called ColoradoCare.

ColoradoCare is a ballot initiative to implement mandatory single-payer healthcare – at a cost of OVER $38 BILLION.

And how does Colorado plan to pay for a monstrous program that will cost $10 Billion more than the entire budget of the entire state?

TAXES, TAXES, TAXES.

Over $10,000 in brand new taxes per Colorado worker.

That’s money out of your wallet, your business, your gas tank and your pantry – to the tune of nearly $1000 a month.

I don’t think I need to tell you this would be disastrous for all Coloradans.

WE HAVE TIME IF WE ACT

The good news is that we have time to spread the word about the dangers of ColoradoCare before the citizens cast their vote in November.

That’s why I’m asking you to please join us in signing Healthcare Options that Work’s pledge to vote against Amendment 69 this November.

Every signature is another step closer to successful defeat of Amendment 69 and ColoradoCare.

And while you are at it, please consider making a contribution so we at Healthcare Options that Works can contact more voters in these crucial weeks before Election Day.

SOME OF THE DISASTROUS RESULTS IF AMENDMENT 29 PASSES

If passed ColoradoCare would add additional 10% taxes to:

*** Retirement and Social Security Benefits – Attacking those on fixed incomes.

*** Businesses – Attacking job creators and destroying jobs.

*** Payroll and Salaries – Taking money out of the pockets of families.

*** Property Sales – Even selling a home will count as taxable income.

And that’s just the start, independent study groups are already projecting that the $38 Billion won’t be enough to feed the monster that is ColoradoCare.

That’s why your opposition is so important.

To make matters worse, ColoradoCare is riddled with hundreds of unelected bureaucrats and administrators – who not only decide who gets healthcare – but also decide how much they get paid – WITH YOUR MONEY.

I don’t have to tell you that in government, un-accountability isn’t a risk for waste and corruption, it’s practically a guarantee.

As a prominent Healthcare researcher, it wouldn’t surprise me if by the time ColoradoCare is fully implemented, the total bill is two or three times the original projection.

At that point additional tax increases are all but guaranteed.

I can’t stress enough how damaging ColoradoCare would be to both businesses and families – it truly is a monster.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP FIGHT AMENDMENT 69 TODAY

So don’t delay, sign the pledge to oppose Amendment 69 today.

And when you sign, please consider making a contribution.  Some folks have contributed upwards of $1,000 to this program. Others have given $500 or $250.

If you’re blessed enough to be able to afford such a large amount at this time, I believe this is an investment worth making and ask you to please do so right away.  But I also understand that for most folks, $100, $75, $50 or $35 is a stretch. For others, $25 or $15 is a huge sacrifice.

No matter what your current situation, – – – , all I ask is that you please contribute to  Healthcare Options that Work whatever amount you can afford at this time to help make sure we stop this monster.

Every bit counts.

Thanks for your support,- Frank Francone
