Trump know how desperately concerned we are about the new ESSA (replacement for NCLB) and its codification into law of the implementation of social, emotional, and behavioral standards and interventions into our nation’s classrooms. Simply cut/copy/paste this article but add your own name and home address.  Then e-mail to Pres. Trump.  If you sincerely care about protecting children from child abuse by the government, please take action now. – Donna Garner]

Our nationwide campaign, Child Abuse in the Classroom, A Legal Challenge to ESSA, is prepared to oppose this federal legislation. 0251_Left’s False Narrative: Trump Administration ‘Pro-Rape’ for Scrapping Obama Campus Sex Policies_by Dr. Susan Berry

9.27.17 – Breitbart
“Left’s False Narrative: Trump Administration ‘Pro-Rape’ for Scrapping Obama Campus Sex Policies”
By Dr. Susan Berry
The left’s latest false narrative is that the Trump administration is “pro-rape” because the education department is scrapping former President Barack Obama’s campus sexual misconduct policies.
Democrat politicians, Hollywood elites, and feminist and LGBT advocacy groups are blasting U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’s announcement last week that her department is rescinding the Obama administration’s “guidance” on sexual misconduct that turned over serious sex assault allegations to untrained “kangaroo” courts on college campuses… Continue reading

Our academic system in the United States is designed to keep students focused only on what the system wants them to know, or feel, or do.  They are not equipped to make their own decisions, but rather to carry out the wishes of the “education” system.

At the end of this blog piece, you can watch an early 2016  YouTube with Kim Holmes talking about his new book.

0249_Betsy DeVos was right to chose to Scrap Obama Campus Sex Policy That Weaponized Govt. to Work Against Students_ By Dr. Susan Berry_Sept. 9, 2017

Last week Dept. of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos was right
to stand against Obama’s Campus Sex Policy

Betsy Devos, Secretary of Education in the U.S. Department of Education, decided last week week, to stand up against kangaroo trials on campuses.  [Verdicts that are not impartial justice — in these cases, verdicts that are decided against young or older men, in advance.]

It is right that Betsy DeVos is standing up for those who have been accused, prosecuted and punished without a trial — those who have not been given a chance to present a case in their defense.

In this country we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty — but too frequently in recent history, the supposition of innocence until proven guilty has been reversed:  people are fmore commonoly considered guilty until proven innocent; and even when they are proven innocent, they must still suffer repercussions of having been treated as guilty when they were innocent.

There were two letters by President Obama (in 2010 and 2011) that expanded qualifications that would label a person guilty — qualifications that went far beyond any good reasoning.

But Betsy DeVos continues to think ESSA(Every Student Succeeds Act)
and Common Core are good.

I hope Betsy DeVos also comes to understand that both ESSA and Common Core are wrong, and violate rights of individuals and states to determine education of children.   Control of edeucation is supposed ot be a local and state issue.

0248_ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) effect on children_ SEL (Social Emotional Learning) assessments_ CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning_ PERC (Persistence, Effort, Resilience and Challenge-seeking behavior) from Donna Garner

September 4, 2017

This came in from Donna Garner today.

The first part of her August 24, 2017 email, concerns the harmful effects on our children, of ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act).

Then she has an August 24, 2017 article by SHANE VANDER HART about Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and the assessments that will accompany it.  See Blog 0244 which is about SEL.

Following the SEL information, is information on CASEL, the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning.

Then read about “PERC — The PERC is a computer-based tool that assesses students’ Persistence, Effort, Resilience and Challenge-seeking behavior. These are key behavioral expressions of a growth mindset of intelligence.”

0247_This website had its 2nd birthday last month_ Type #1 and Type #2 ed._ Tour of this site_from Donna Jack

Sept. 04, 2017

Two years, one month, and one week ago, on July 28, 2015, I posted my first blog on this website.

A listing of all the posts can be found in the Table of Contents — each entry in the Table of Contents has a link to the corresponding blog post.

The Home Page shows what is wrong with education —
and
the most critical thing to understand
in order to reverse the decline in education today – and to save our nation.

How do we fix the rapid decline in the education of too many people who do not graduate, and too many who do graduate from High Schools, Colleges and Universities?

It is not the condition of the buildings and other facilities — it is not the talent and good intentions and dedication of highly trained and competent teachers, administrators, counselors, teacher librarians, and all the support staff — it is not the freedom to choose the school a child attends (especially if all schools have Type #2 education) — it is not the amount of interest of the parents, or of the students — it is not computerizing all education and gathering more and more data on children, families, teachers, etc. — it is not simply emphasis on certain subjects like sports, music, art, science, technology, mathematics, language arts, reading, writing — it is not focus on becoming a global citizen — it is not in forcing all students to accept everything that students do and believe (unless they are politically incorrect).  Standardizing all attitudes, values, beliefs and behaviors is not the answer, either — and training children to want to change their sexual identity will not improve education standards.

The thing that really matters is THE TYPE OF EDUCATION BEING TAUGHT IN THE CURRICULUM — THE CONTENT.  Type #2 education is taking over our country — to the detriment of everyone.  We need a shift back to Type #1.
