0247_This website had its 2nd birthday last month_ Type #1 and Type #2 ed._ Tour of this site_from Donna Jack

Sept. 04, 2017

Two years, one month, and one week ago, on July 28, 2015, I posted my first blog on this website.

A listing of all the posts can be found in the Table of Contents — each entry in the Table of Contents has a link to the corresponding blog post.

The Home Page shows what is wrong with education —
and
the most critical thing to understand
in order to reverse the decline in education today – and to save our nation.

How do we fix the rapid decline in the education of too many people who do not graduate, and too many who do graduate from High Schools, Colleges and Universities?

It is not the condition of the buildings and other facilities — it is not the talent and good intentions and dedication of highly trained and competent teachers, administrators, counselors, teacher librarians, and all the support staff — it is not the freedom to choose the school a child attends (especially if all schools have Type #2 education) — it is not the amount of interest of the parents, or of the students — it is not computerizing all education and gathering more and more data on children, families, teachers, etc. — it is not simply emphasis on certain subjects like sports, music, art, science, technology, mathematics, language arts, reading, writing — it is not focus on becoming a global citizen — it is not in forcing all students to accept everything that students do and believe (unless they are politically incorrect).  Standardizing all attitudes, values, beliefs and behaviors is not the answer, either — and training children to want to change their sexual identity will not improve education standards.

The thing that really matters is THE TYPE OF EDUCATION BEING TAUGHT IN THE CURRICULUM — THE CONTENT.  Type #2 education is taking over our country — to the detriment of everyone.  We need a shift back to Type #1.

0235_Hillsdale College 2017 Introduction to the Constitution course (free) – taught by Larry Arnn, President of Hillsdale College_ links to classes _ information about Larry Arnn, and his books_blogs 0069, 0061, 0015 and 0013 about false AP US History

July 21, 2017/July 22, 2017 update

My husband is taking online, the Hillsdale College class “Introduction to the Constitution.”  It is free. It is one of a number of classes Hillsdale College offers free online.

In light of the gross ignorance of the Constitution in our country — and the frightening results of that ignorance that we are seeing around us — it is important that people become aware of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence.  We need knowledge in order to be able to stand up to protect and preserve our nation.

For decades, our public schools have been omitting this knowledge from being available to students.  In fact, grossly false information about our country, our founding, and our freedom, continues to be taught throughout the schools.  Children and adults have for a long time been taught to hate America, not understanding the unique blessing it is on us and on the world.

At the end of this article, see four previous blogs on this site that deal with the lies in AP U.S.  History.

Dr. Larry Arnn – teaches “Introduction to the Constitution”

Dr. Larry Arnn is the teacher for the 11 lessons of an “Introduction to the Constitution” class.  He has been president of Hillsdale College since 2000.  He is the kind of person that you gladly listen to — because of his extensive knowledge, and his enthusiasm for whatever subject he speaks about.

In this series he serves as more of a moderator that  one giving a lecture.  He is working with freshmen and sophomores at Hillsdale College.  The information is a very good review, or foundation if you have little knowledge of the Constitution.

In the second class on the Constitution, a number of people take turns leading the sessions, using a lecture format.

You can access here the list and content of the 11 lessons in the
Hillsdale “Introduction to the Constitution” class …or link to each one of them below: Continue reading

0160_The Classic Learning Test – alternative college entrance exam currently being used (Sept. 28, 2016 article by Shane Vander Hart)

December 13, 2016/revised Dec. 24, 2016

This past week at several Christmas parties, the subject of secret brain washing of students came up, and data gathering.

In the 1980s I became aware of this subversive activity that has been going on in the schools of our country.  A teachers book entitled Teaching as a Subversive Activity It is just one instruction book in teacher subversion.  People are beginning to understand that the schools are “kidnapping” the minds of students.

See 0097 – A blog piece about VECTOR – serious competition for ACT and SAT.

This article below is about “The Classic Learning Test.”  It was forwarded to me by Donna Garner (Waco, Texas).

“The Classic Learning Test: An Alternative College Entrance Exam”

BY SHANE VANDER HART

http://truthinamericaneducation.com/homeschool-private-school/classic-learning-test-alternative-college-entrance-exam/

With SAT changes that has brought it into alignment with the Common Core, and ACT’s involvement in the creation of the standards, it is important that we find an alternative college entrance exam.

The Classic Learning Test (CLT) is an alternative that is actually being used now.

The CLT came about specifically out of a need seen first-hand by its Founder, Jeremy Tate, who, while running a test-prep company, saw that homeschooled and privately educated students were being disproportionately discriminated against by being held to standards they had rejected. 0106_Common Core – not what its supporters thought it was_Some history of Race to the Top (RTTT) and Common Core in Colorado

June 15, 2016

the Core standards do not do academically what supporters said they would and that linking them to high-stakes tests harms students.” [This quotation is from an article written by Valerie Strauss, linked here, and spoken of in blog 0108.

From the beginning, many people knew where RTTT and Common Core would lead.

There are people across our country who have known since the introduction of Race to the Top (RTTT) in 2009, that it would be a giant step toward putting all control of public, private and home schooling, into the hands of a few people.

This is part of a planned takeover of the control of education by people outside our government.  It is being funded mostly by our own tax dollars.  This subject is talked about in blog 0074_Common Core: Subversive Threat to Education_Karen Bracken_April 8, 2013_YouTubeHere you can also find a “searchable” transcript of the entire YouTube of Karen Bracken’s presentation.

Those who want centralization of our education system were pleased with RTTT (the funding and implementation apparatus for Common Core).

People aware of this government take-over of our education system, have been spreading the word, in the hope of getting back local control.

Some people who in 2009 – 2004 were supporting Common Core and Race to the Top (RTTT) thought they would help improve our education system.

Some people who did not want centralized control, and at the same time didn’t understand the implications of RTTT (which forced Common Core education uniformity throughout our country) — still supported RTTT and Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  They gave their support to CCSS, thinking they would only be a national recommendation for minimum goals that individual states should aim for.  They would say, “Common Core State Standards are recommendations with no strings attached, and we can choose to follow or ignore them — they are just a recommended floor (minimum standard),  not a ceiling.”  They Continue reading

0086_Launching of complete index to 86 blogs on this site_access them all easily_it will be updated as blogs are added

Donna Jack – April 2, 2016

Link to new index of all 86 blog posts.

Dear friends and family,

It is with tremendous gratitude that I thank Geri Zahner-Heasley for designing this site and giving it to me, setting it up, and spending countless hours struggling with me so I could begin to use the site.  The work began last July.

There are, as of today, 86 blog posts, including this one.  As the number of blogs increased, it became increasingly difficult to maneuver through the blogs, making it seem as if most of them had never been written.  So finally, today there is an index that lists every blog, starting with the most recent, and going all the way back to the first one last July.  It is so easy to use, and can be copied, pasted and printed out or saved!

0074_Common Core: Subversive Threat to Education_Karen Bracken_April 8, 2013_YouTube

This particular video, which was made in 2013, is among the best presentations out there that lays out a straight-forward history of Common Core national standards (which drive curriculum and assessments) and introduces the people and organizations behind Common Core national standards and all that goes along with national standards.

You can read a transcript of the video, approved by Karen Bracken, the person who presents the information in the video.

This video gives information necessary to understand better what is going on today with Common Core, the College Board (AP, SAT, GED, etc), ACT, International Baccalaureate (IB program), and a number of other topics central to education.

Additionally you will hear some quotes by founders of public education in the U.S.A., and learn some of Bill Gates’ activities, goals and alliances.

Karen Bracken lives in Tennessee, and continues to work tirelessly to inform people about the take-over of our education.  Below is her 2013 presentation — Common Core: Subversive Threat to Education.

0069_Freedom Minute – College Board Revamps AP US History Framework_but they really didn’t

Published on February 23, 2016
by Donna Jack

This post was originally started August 19, 2015, but I didn’t put it on the public site at that time.  It is being published today to demonstrate some of the serious problems in public education.

One of the problems is that students are given only one way to look at the world – through the eyes of people who hate this country.  They are taught not to think.  That is the viewpoint of the 2014 and 2015 AP US History framework.

I continue to hope that if students and graduates are able to hear and see the truth, they may begin to understand that they have been deceived through the conditioning in our public schools.

This blog piece continues the theme of what compulsory schools (public schools) are training our children to become.  One of the things they are being taught to do is disobey or disregard law.  Continue reading

0061_Compare the Frameworks of The 2010, 2014 and 2015 AP US History (Type #2 Education is destroying education)

by Donna Jack–published February 15, 2016

Introduction – Unions didn’t want Type #2 education revealed to the public.

This blog post was begun in July 2015, put away, partly re-written, and published now. I decided this background needed to be recorded, so that people can understand what imaginary excuse the unions concocted. They used this made-up excuse of censorship to recall 3 conservative (non-union supported) people who were the majority board members on the Colorado Jefferson County School board at the time. These three school board members were John Newkirk, Julie Williams and Ken Witt.  The unions were mad that they had lost control that they had held over the school district for decades!

This article briefly explains the APUSH ( Advanced Placement U.S. History) Frameworks from 2010, 2014 and 2015, the later two of which are totally prescribed censored US history curriculum. They are Type #2 education. At the possible threat of their Type #2 curriculum  being revealed to the public, the unions falsely accused the majority on the school board of censorship (while they themselves were the censors of US History). The people making these false accusations were the Jeffco unions, paid agitators, the two democrat women on the school board (Lesley Dahlkemper and Jill Fellman) and misinformed parents and students, who had been told lies, and then parroted those lies, reacting with hatred toward the majority on the board.

Type #1 and Type #2 Education – Common Core is Type #2 Education Continue reading

0051_Why Would You Put People in Charge who Don’t Know the Difference Between Freedom and the Alternatives (Slavery)?

[A Must Read:  “Global Schooling: The Hijacking of American Education”,  a 15-page article written by Patrick Wood, August 17, 2005.  It gives a historical run-down of those individuals, corporations, foundations, unions, charities and non-profits that have been in the past and are financing and supporting the take-over of education in the United States and throughout the entire world.]

Why Would You Put People in Charge who Don’t Know the Difference Between Freedom and the Alternatives (Slavery)?

January 30, 2016 – by Donna Jack

Students across the United States have not been exposed to the history, principles and documents that made the United States great.  Our history had begun to be pulled from schools even around 1890, but one generation has been almost totally deprived of our history, and the censorship increases.

Until not too long ago the United States led the world in literacy, production, opportunity, excellence, freedom . . .   But we have been falling behind at an increasing rate.  This can be partly attributed to the absence of curriculum that teaches students why this country was founded.  The reason for our founding is clearly explained in the Declaration of Independence and other writings, which are not found in National curriculum today.  National curriculum also omits the background and content of our U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights; and only mentions in derision our history, and a few of the people who founded our country or who flourished and contributed under the provisions of the original foundation.

Without this understanding and appreciation for our country, citizens are deprived of the knowledge necessary to make decisions that can reverse the ongoing collapse of our educational and economic system. Continue reading

0021_The three-board majority members are respectful to people and follow the rules. That’s not true of the two minority board members.

PETITION WORDING FILLED WITH LIES AND FALSE ACCUSATIONS –
Some are corrected below:

The three recall petitions for three Colorado Jefferson County (Jeffco)Board of Education (BOE) members, and wording on the mail-in ballot are false accusations (lies).  You can see their lies printed on the petition and sample ballot:

See link showing that the petition and ballot have exactly the same lies.

1.  One of the lies on the petition said
The board was trying to censor US History

The truth is that board member Julie Williams proposed a separate citizen curriculum review committee that would report to the board directly what they find when reviewing specific curriculum.

She had read the 2014 AP US Framework and was in contact with people around the country who were protesting the new leftist 2014 AP US History Framework.  She proposed this independent curriculum review committee because of the excessive censorship in the 2014 AP US History Framework.

The unions exploded at the proposal of this independent citizen review committee, and acted out their rehearsed false accusations at the October 2, 2014 school board meeting.  They screamed “censorship” and used it  to “justify” the recall they had been planning since the three board members had been elected in 2013.
