Dr. Kim Holmes will be speaking at Colorado Christian University (CCU) this coming Monday evening.  Over a year ago he wrote a book The Closing of the Liberal Mind:  How Groupthink and Intolerance Define the Left.  Groupthink and intolerance are what is “taught” in our society, through government schools and the media in general.  It has increasingly moved into law.

Last week Dept. of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos was right
to stand against Obama’s Campus Sex Policy

Betsy Devos, Secretary of Education in the U.S. Department of Education, decided last week week, to stand up against kangaroo trials on campuses.  [Verdicts that are not impartial justice — in these cases, verdicts that are decided against young or older men, in advance.]

It is right that Betsy DeVos is standing up for those who have been accused, prosecuted and punished without a trial — those who have not been given a chance to present a case in their defense.

In this country we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty — but too frequently in recent history, the supposition of innocence until proven guilty has been reversed:  people are fmore commonoly considered guilty until proven innocent; and even when they are proven innocent, they must still suffer repercussions of having been treated as guilty when they were innocent.

There were two letters by President Obama (in 2010 and 2011) that expanded qualifications that would label a person guilty — qualifications that went far beyond any good reasoning.

But Betsy DeVos continues to think ESSA(Every Student Succeeds Act)
and Common Core are good.

I hope Betsy DeVos also comes to understand that both ESSA and Common Core are wrong, and violate rights of individuals and states to determine education of children.   Control of edeucation is supposed ot be a local and state issue.

Two years, one month, and one week ago, on July 28, 2015, I posted my first blog on this website.

The Home Page shows what is wrong with education —
and 
the most critical thing to understand
in order to reverse the decline in education today – and to save our nation.

How do we fix the rapid decline in the education of too many people who do not graduate, and too many who do graduate from High Schools, Colleges and Universities?

It is not the condition of the buildings and other facilities — it is not the talent and good intentions and dedication of highly trained and competent teachers, administrators, counselors, teacher librarians, and all the support staff — it is not the freedom to choose the school a child attends (especially if all schools have Type #2 education) — it is not the amount of interest of the parents, or of the students — it is not computerizing all education and gathering more and more data on children, families, teachers, etc. — it is not simply emphasis on certain subjects like sports, music, art, science, technology, mathematics, language arts, reading, writing — it is not focus on becoming a global citizen — it is not in forcing all students to accept everything that students do and believe (unless they are politically incorrect).  Standardizing all attitudes, values, beliefs and behaviors is not the answer, either — and training children to want to change their sexual identity will not improve education standards.

The thing that really matters is THE TYPE OF EDUCATION BEING TAUGHT IN THE CURRICULUM — THE CONTENT.  Type #2 education is taking over our country — to the detriment of everyone.  We need a shift back to Type #1.

The following document is well worth copying, from the pdf, or from the online link.  It is important historical information for your files on Common Core.  Donna Garner originally sent it out in 2015 — 35 pages of links to podcasts, videos, articles, YouTubes, commentaries, etc., over a four-year period.  I can’t wait to dig into them myself.  Many of then will be resources I have already studied – both new and review are important.

 Who was involved in the deplorable and violent events in Charlottesville, Virginia this last weekend?  Our nation witnessed Black Lives Matter, White Supremacists, Anti-Trumpsters, Neo-Nazis, and the KKK yelling, screaming, fighting, cussing, destroying property, venting their rage, killing protesters, maiming bystanders, and injuring first responders.

 What do these groups all have in common?  They are all products of our culture, one in which the majority of our nation’s K-16 students have been indoctrinated by the Obama administration’s anti-American Common Core and the leftwing professors who populate our colleges and universities. Aided by the Democrats and the leftist media, our nation is now “reaping the whirlwind.”

Breitbart published Congressman Tom Tancredo’s July 2017 article about the serious problem of illegal immigration from Mexico…and the cooperation of our country.

Allowing, and even incentivizing, illegal immigration is just one more way that the sovereignty of our nation is being eroded.

August 15, 2017, Congressman Tom Tancredo spoke at a meeting in my neighborhood.  As always he was entertaining, as he shared the inside scoop of how things are done in D.C. and where we’re headed.  As one of the top experts in the country on illegal immigration and our borders — he shared about illegal immigration, from his perspective.

The media’s obsession with Russia amounts to journalistic malpractice.  Very few people care about this overhyped nonsense. Meanwhile, the big media complex is failing to report on the things people really do care about.

A recent Bloomberg Poll asked Americans to rank the most important issues facing the country.  Here’s how the results broke down:

Health care 35%
Jobs/Unemployment 13%
Terrorism 11%
Immigration 10%
Climate Change 10%
Russia 6%
Taxes 4%
Other 4%
Trade 2%

Only six percent of Americans said Russia was the most important issue facing the country today.
