0360_Jan. 19, 2019_Breaking: New Lawsuit Against Google and YouTube_by PragerU_ help fund battle for free speech on the internet (stop censorship)

Donna Jack January 19, 2019

Continuing their efforts to eliminate our Constitutional Republic, those who want to control every aspect of our lives are attacking our freedom to communicate on the internet. PragerU is fighting for free speech online for all Americans.

Google and YouTube are two of the instruments of this censorship. Specifically, they are taking steps to eliminate the voice of PragerU. They use their tools to block from students and other people across the country — the PragerU short video messages. See the videos they are censoring at:
https://www.prageru.com/

Example of a censored PragerU Video: Gun Rights Are Women’s Rights https://www.prageru.com/playlists/restricted-youtube#1 Example of a censored PraterU Video: Gender Identity: Why All the Confusion? https://www.prageru.com/playlists/restricted-youtube#2

Dennis Prager and PragerU are fighting back, and they need our help.

10 of over 80 PragerU Videos that have been restricted from certain audiences.

BREAKING: PragerU has officially filed a new lawsuit against tech giant Google and its subsidiary YouTube in the state of California.

With an appeal currently pending in the Ninth Circuit, PragerU is now doubling down in California state court, continuing the fight for free speech online for all Americans and calling for Youtube to end its restriction of over 80 PragerU videos.

The Left controls our universities.

The Left controls our mainstream media.  Don’t let the Left control the Internet, too.

PragerU is leading the fight against the censorship of conservative voices online.

Can we count on your support as we fight to end the censorship of our ideas?

It’s now been over one year now since PragerU filed the initial federal lawsuit against tech giants Google and YouTube for censoring so many of our videos. YouTube continues to restrict access to more and more of our videos simply because they present a conservative point of view. There are currently over 80 PragerU videos that are restricted – more than double the amount since we filed our lawsuit against Google.

It’s clear that Google is not backing down. But don’t worry, neither are we.

We are prepared to take our lawsuit against Google as far, and for as long, as we need to. In addition to our current federal appeal in the Ninth Circuit, we are now pursuing action against the tech giant in California state court.

YouTube calls itself a “public forum.” It builds its ENTIRE business model on the claim that it is a “public forum: committed to fostering a community where everyone’s voice can be heard.” Yet, it defrauds the public by censoring speech it doesn’t agree with.

Free speech, especially online, is one of the most important rights of our era, and we intend to fight for it.

We can’t do this alone. Join us NOW and become a critical piece in this fight by donating today.

Every day, PragerU is changing culture with online content that teaches the values that make America the freest and most prosperous nation on earth. Millions of Americans are watching our videos, and minds are changing. We cannot let that stop.

The Left knows how effective we are. That’s why they want to censor us.

PragerU continues to fight online suppression of conservative ideas. Over the past year, we have led the charge in bringing public awareness to the issue of online censorship. Our case has been mentioned in nearly every article on the issue, and has been covered by several media giants, including the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and Buzzfeed.

Over 500,000 Americans have signed our online petition urging Google to end its censorship of conservative ideas. Our goal is to reach 1 million signatures by the time we meet Google in court.

We need your support now more than ever.  Please consider making a donation today.

As we continue this important fight – not just for PragerU, but for everyone who uses Google – we need to win in both the court of public opinion, and in the courtroom.

We recently launched a public awareness video to bring much-needed attention to the issue. The video has already hit over 10 million views, but that’s not enough. With your help, millions more will see this critical video and learn about our case.

Can we count on your support as we fight to end the censorship of our ideas?

[Comments from Donna Garner:  On March 13, 2018, Leslie Stahl asked Sect. of Ed. Betsy DeVos, “Why have you become, people say, the most hated Cabinet secretary?” Sect. DeVos replied that more than anything she is misunderstood. The article below shows that she is not “misunderstood” but is actually “understood” all too well.

Even though Pres. Trump ran on the platform of getting rid of Common Core, he made a bad choice in appointing Betsy DeVos as Sect. of Ed.  She, working hand-in-glove with Jeb Bush, is making sure that Common Core becomes permanent.

Now DeVos has chosen former North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue to oversee the NAEP. This test is not yet aligned with Common Core; but under Common-Core-lover Perdue, the NAEP is sure to be closely aligned with Common Core in the same manner as the SAT, pre-SAT, and AP are. Continue reading

In 1492, Christopher Columbus and his mighty three-ship fleet, the Niña, Pinta, and Santa Maria, first spotted the Americas.  His historic achievement ushered in an Age of Discovery that expanded our knowledge of the world.  Columbus’s daring journey marked the beginning of centuries of transatlantic exploration that transformed the Western Hemisphere.  On Columbus Day, we commemorate the achievements of this skilled Italian explorer and recognize his courage, will power, and ambition — all values we cherish as Americans.

Even though it remains a national holiday, many cities no longer celebrate Columbus Day. They celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day instead. What’s behind the switch? Contrary to what you might think, it’s not about paying homage to America’s original inhabitants. Steven Crowder, host of Louder with Crowder, explains.

Radio host Michael Knowles said on “Fox & Friends” that Democratic Socialists are urging Socialists to become teachers because they can’t win a “fair fight.”
A pamphlet by the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA), in conjunction with the Democratic Socialist Labor Commission, outlines a push for socialists to “take jobs as teachers” as a way to move teachers unions “in a more militant and democratic direction.”
Knowles said that according to numerous surveys, “the blood-soaked history” of socialism is unknown by millennials, leading them to identify as supporters of the movement.

As an assertiveness trainer, I made up an axiom: “If you can’t say no, your yes means nothing.” Our belief that we aren’t allowed to say no can be a form of self-imposed slavery. We have even bigger problems when our government typifies that belief.

Once again, the Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) is targeting Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop. The original drama lasted more than six years and concerned Phillips’ refusal to create a custom wedding cake for a gay couple. The finale came in June 2018 with a 7-2 Supreme Court decision in Phillips’ favor.

The sequel to this story debuted recently when news broke that the CCRD ordered Phillips into “compulsory mediation” for a new discrimination charge. The complainant this time is Autumn Scardina, a transgender attorney who requested a custom cake to celebrate his/her gender transition. Scardina has allegedly targeted this shop in the past with sexually explicit and satanic cake requests. Continue reading

8.10.18 – Truth in American Education

[COMMENTS FROM DONNA GARNER: A class in civics should teach students such things as how democracy started, the structure of American government, responsibilities of the judiciary/house/senate (at state and federal levels), the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, instruction on federal/state/local voting regulations, responsibilities and privileges of U. S. citizenship, a study of American democracy and how it compares to other systems of government.

Instead, civics as now being taught in many states has turned into an indoctrination into Obama’s and the leftists’ social justice agenda that emphasizes community organizing and planning and staging political activist demonstrations.  End result:  When reporters have asked student demonstrators to explain why they are demonstrating, many of them cannot even articulate a reasonable response that contains a premise supported by fact-based reasons. Unfortunately, students know HOW to protest but have limited knowledge about WHY.  – Donna Garner]

0350_How Common Core Testing Damaged High School English Classes – by Peter Greene_July 20, 2018

Donna Jack
Aug. 10, 2018

Excerpts from below:

When the Core hit the scene, ‘Here are some new standards’ was followed directly by ‘and how well you follow them will be judged by these new standardized tests which will be used to evaluate districts, schools and (eventually) teachers.’ David Coleman, CCSS architect, understood that tests would drive the curriculum and teacher behavior.

Remember, the current definition of ‘effective teaching’ is ‘teaching that raises standardized test scores.’ That doesn’t have to include any classic literature, or, what may be worse, only a few paragraphs of them”

“How Common Core Testing Damaged High School English Classes”
By Peter Greene, Contributor

Excerpts from this article:

The Thomas B. Fordham Institute, …longtime staunch supporter of the Common Core, just released a survey of ELA teachers and some attendant conclusions about how the Common Core reading standards are playing out in actual classrooms. They offer four recommendations, and those recommendations reflect some of the damage that has been done, particularly in high school classrooms, by the Common Core movement. Continue reading
