Michael Medved has recorded a superb collection
of audio recordings about American History.

Below is the latest in the series of PragerU short educational videos.  This one is of Michael Medved talking about the First Thanksgiving.   You can link the YouTube video here as well.

There are many good resources for learning about the Pilgrims’ “first Thanksgiving.”

Sad to day, there are even more resources to find lies about the founding of our country.  Advanced Placement (AP) American History is one of those dishonest resources that push ugly lies about our founding.  AP courses in general, are painted as the very best schools have to offer (plus they provide cheap college credit, an enticement for parents).

Text of an email that arrived today from Prager University:

“Food, football, and…oppression. That’s what Thanksgiving has come to mean for many Americans. Why? Because countless schools tell students that the Pilgrims fled persecution only to become persecutors themselves by depriving Native Americans of their land and their lives. Is that really what happened? Were previous generations of Americans sold a romanticized version of the Pilgrim story? In this week’s video, nationally syndicated radio host Michael Medved tells the truth about the first Thanksgiving.

0235_Hillsdale College 2017 Introduction to the Constitution course (free) – taught by Larry Arnn, President of Hillsdale College_ links to classes _ information about Larry Arnn, and his books_blogs 0069, 0061, 0015 and 0013 about false AP US History

July 21, 2017/July 22, 2017 update

My husband is taking online, the Hillsdale College class “Introduction to the Constitution.”  It is free. It is one of a number of classes Hillsdale College offers free online.

In light of the gross ignorance of the Constitution in our country — and the frightening results of that ignorance that we are seeing around us — it is important that people become aware of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence.  We need knowledge in order to be able to stand up to protect and preserve our nation.

For decades, our public schools have been omitting this knowledge from being available to students.  In fact, grossly false information about our country, our founding, and our freedom, continues to be taught throughout the schools.  Children and adults have for a long time been taught to hate America, not understanding the unique blessing it is on us and on the world.

At the end of this article, see four previous blogs on this site that deal with the lies in AP U.S.  History.

Dr. Larry Arnn – teaches “Introduction to the Constitution”

Dr. Larry Arnn is the teacher for the 11 lessons of an “Introduction to the Constitution” class.  He has been president of Hillsdale College since 2000.  He is the kind of person that you gladly listen to — because of his extensive knowledge, and his enthusiasm for whatever subject he speaks about.

In this series he serves as more of a moderator that  one giving a lecture.  He is working with freshmen and sophomores at Hillsdale College.  The information is a very good review, or foundation if you have little knowledge of the Constitution.

In the second class on the Constitution, a number of people take turns leading the sessions, using a lecture format.

You can access here the list and content of the 11 lessons in the
Hillsdale “Introduction to the Constitution” class …or link to each one of them below: Continue reading

Phyllis Schlafly died last September.  Below you will find a message from Ed Martin today, and then the text of what Phyllis Schlafly said during one of her radio broadcasts:  Religion is Part of Our Founding.

Happy Independence Day, from our Phyllis Schlafly Eagles staff and families to yours!

Today we celebrate the anniversary of our nation’s Declaration of Independence from England’s tyrannical King George.  On this 241st year of our individual American republic, I am happy to bring you one of Phyllis Schlafly’s timeless reminders.  That no matter what the atheists and liberal revisionists may tell you – our founding fathers were Godly men.

As these men determined an independence was needed and later built the foundation of our republic, they sought the wisdom of “Almighty Providence” often in their prayers and in the Holy Bible.

Take a listen and read Phyllis’s historic reminder for us below.

All the best.

0177_Epidemic in our country: believing the worst (or best) without any knowledge_Link to Goebbels’ quote about repeating big lie (people will believe it)

Donna Jack
February 10, 2017

In Blog Post 0178 you can read Joseph Goebbels’ quote  — it talks about making up a huge lie and repeating it over and over to manipulate people.  You can also read his quote in Quotation 26 on the Quotations page of this website.

We need to be slow to judge people, and slow to anger.  Those who wish to control us, use against us, our weakness to swiftly judge and to get angry.  They keep repeating lies — lies that are designed to divide.

It is difficult to avoid judging people,
when quick harsh judgment is all around us every day.

Almost no matter where we go, people seem to be angry, saying bad things about people — frequently these uncomplimentary words are about people they don’t even know.  People often seem to be eager to cut someone else down.  These harsh unkind words are not only focused on strangers, but just as easily shift focus to people close to home:  people in our schools, our churches, at work, in our neighborhoods, clubs …  and in our own families .

Blog post 0090 goes into detail about “Label-Libel” — a term I found in a book
from a New Mexico teacher supply store.

Human nature is a combination of both good and bad.  Those who have evil goals in mind to control other people, frequently take advantage of the weaknesses of human nature (greed, selfishness, dishonesty, pride, vengeance, gossip, hatred, anger, impatience).  They encourage and feed these weaknesses, in order to divide us from each other, so that they can accomplish their own selfish goals.

0158_The First Thanksgiving – Rush Limbaugh in 2015 talking about his 1992 book “See I Told You So” – and what he learned about the Pilgrims and Thanksgiving–YouTube & transcript_Links to George Washington’s 1789 Innaugural Address_his Thanksgiving proclamation

November 24, 2016 – Thanksgiving Day – Revised Nov. 25, 2016 (6:41 pm)
Donna Jack

We spent Thanksgiving with one of our sons, his wife, and three children.  All our family gives thanks to our Lord for the blessings He has showered on the United States of America, and on each of us.

My three local grandchildren have been studying American history at home for several years.  sadly, most children who attend public schools and many private schools, are taught to hate the United States.  All my grandchildren (and their parents, aunts and uncles) love America.

Our three local grandchildren have a large American history library, which includes the Rush Revere American history books that Rush Limbaugh has written for chilcren (They  are enjoyable reading or listening for adults as well).  The first book in the series is a time-travel adventure leading up to, and including, the first Thanksgiving.

Following is a link to the collection of American History Rush Revere books:

0157_Christmas in My Heart_Volume 25_by Joe L. Wheeler – a recent addition to my hall of heroes_Joe’s book-signing events in Colorado in December 2016

Donna Jack
November 21, 2016, revised 25 Nov 2016

Dear Readers,

Joe Wheeler attended a local Conifer Kiwanas Club meeting September 28th.  Joe is one of those people who doesn’t make a big deal about his presence, but he makes you feel like he is an old friend.

In order to give us each a chance to look through his newest book, Christmas in My Heart – Volume 25, he passed out several copies.   One of the men sitting at the table said, “It brings tears to your eyes – looking into the America that we grew up in, and that we see slipping away, and in some cases, is gone or almost gone.”

For the past 25 years, Joe has annually published a new book of Christmas stories.  He chooses his stories from his life-long efforts to build a library that reflects the America that some of us still remember or the America we have heard about from our parents and grandparents.

Those who have only heard the distorted, revisionist, censored and made-up “history” about our American heritage — get glimpses of the America they never knew or heard about.  Joe’s books are light in the manufactured darkness.

I encourage you to purchase Joe’s Christmas in My Heart books.   They will ignite in your heart your old love for our country — or create a new love.  The books will encourage you to stand up for our country — against those who are robbing us of the American past. Continue reading
