0240_Sex-reassignment Expenses (trying to change the biological sex of a person) Could Cost U.S. A New Navy Destroyer-2017-07-26_by Tony Perkins_Family Research Council

Sex-reassignment expenses were not excluded from the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2018 (“NDAA”).  It is a threat to our national security to shrink our national defense funds in order to pay for sex-reassignment expenses.

ELID may have been stopped, but…

The documentation on this site, related to the proposed ELID is important, even though supposedly the proposed ELID is not moving forward.  These blogs will give you a heads-up, so you can see the original direction of this ELID  (Evergreen Local Improvement District), and work to head off whatever it morphs into.

Listed are previous blog posts on this site so far about the ELID issue – including a YouTube of Dean Dalvit presenting his proposal at the Evergreen Lake House.  The blogs on this subject so far:  0234, 0236, 0238, and 0239 (this blog piece).  Titles and links to these blog pieces are at the end of this blog.

Beginning of report on August 1, 2017 Jeffco County Commissioner’s
Staff Briefings

After the conclusion of the 8:00 public testimony on the first floor of the Jefferson County County Building, people moved to the 5th floor conference room for staff briefings for the County Commissioners.

The staff presentation was scheduled to end at 10:45.  It was over well before 9:45, when I arrived. I stayed to talk with people who attended, and below is a report.

Unexpected offer to testify on any of the four agenda items,
to those who were present

Near the end of the public testimony, Commissioner Libby Szabo asked if there were any more people who wanted to testify – and welcomed Dee Oltmans and DeDe Wagner to speak. That was a surprise for them.

Even though Dee Oltmans and DeDe Wagner were not expecting to be able to testify, they were happy to take the opportunity to speak up against the proposed LID. Continue reading

2017-07-28_County Commissioner’s meeting on ELID_Aug 1 – BCC briefed on ELID_schedule

This morning our county commissioners in Jefferson County Colorado will be briefed by those supporting making Evergreen a Local Improvement District (LID).  We need a briefing from those not supporting the LID.

Here is the body of an email from Art Onweller, July 28, 2017 – subject: County Commissioners’ meeting on ELID:

Progress is slowly proceeding to present the plan for establishing an Evergreen Local Improvement District (ELID) and present it to the County Commissioners. It takes two Commissioners to approve the plan without anyone of us voting on it. Once approved, the next step is to place a 1% sales tax on the November ballot for approval. This tax will be used to fund the ELID. Continue reading

The Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity

July 19, 2017  the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity had its first meeting concerning voter fraud in American elections. (Actual address to this commission link at the end of this blog piece.)

Democrat-controlled legislatures vote not to permit any kind of ID requirement to vote, saying there is no fraud.  They are mistaken.  Things like no-voter-identification-necessary-to-vote, and same-day-registration invite fraudulent votes (votes by people who are not qualified to vote in a particular election).  Below are some cases that prove voter fraud is going on in many forms.  This is only the “tip of the iceberg” because it is expensive and time-consuming to track down and prosecute the fraud.

From the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity website:

On May 11, 2017, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order establishing the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. Vice President Mike Pence chairs the Commission, and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach serves as the vice chair.

“Any member of the public wishing to submit written comments for the Commission’s consideration may do so via email at ElectionIntegrityStaff@ovp.eop.gov. Please note that the Commission may post such written comments publicly on our website, including names and contact information that are submitted.”

PROPOSED Evergreen Local Improvement District
Facts and Action Suggestions

FACTS

What it is not:  Connected in anyway to “Affordable Housing” AFFH, Federal Grant Money — that was a separate matter being dealt with by the County Commissioners.

What it is:  Additional level of Jefferson County government in the unincorporated Evergreen area, the boundaries of which would be El Rancho on the north, south along Hwy 74 including downtown Evergreen, around the lake south along Hwy 73 to Marshdale, encompassing Evergreen Metropolitan District and West Jefferson County Metropolitan District.  (Shown on attached map.), run by a 5-7 person appointed Board by the Commissions, not elected by Evergreen residents, which would instruct Jefferson County staff (through the Board of County Commissioners), to oversee and manage the projects identified by the appointed Board.

If approved, how long will the LID last?  In perpetuity. Organizers will submit the LID application based upon perpetuity  Per Dean Dalvit, they do not want to provide for a sunset provision.

How much $$ would be generated annually from the 1% sales tax?  Approximately $1 million. Continue reading

0235_Hillsdale College 2017 Introduction to the Constitution course (free) – taught by Larry Arnn, President of Hillsdale College_ links to classes _ information about Larry Arnn, and his books_blogs 0069, 0061, 0015 and 0013 about false AP US History

Donna Jack
July 21, 2017/July 22, 2017 update

My husband is taking online, the Hillsdale College class “Introduction to the Constitution.”  It is free. It is one of a number of classes Hillsdale College offers free online.

In light of the gross ignorance of the Constitution in our country — and the frightening results of that ignorance that we are seeing around us — it is important that people become aware of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence.  We need knowledge in order to be able to stand up to protect and preserve our nation.

For decades, our public schools have been omitting this knowledge from being available to students.  In fact, grossly false information about our country, our founding, and our freedom, continues to be taught throughout the schools.  Children and adults have for a long time been taught to hate America, not understanding the unique blessing it is on us and on the world.

At the end of this article, see four previous blogs on this site that deal with the lies in AP U.S.  History.

Dr. Larry Arnn – teaches “Introduction to the Constitution”

Dr. Larry Arnn is the teacher for the 11 lessons of an “Introduction to the Constitution” class.  He has been president of Hillsdale College since 2000.  He is the kind of person that you gladly listen to — because of his extensive knowledge, and his enthusiasm for whatever subject he speaks about.

In this series he serves as more of a moderator that  one giving a lecture.  He is working with freshmen and sophomores at Hillsdale College.  The information is a very good review, or foundation if you have little knowledge of the Constitution.

In the second class on the Constitution, a number of people take turns leading the sessions, using a lecture format.

You can access here the list and content of the 11 lessons in the
Hillsdale “Introduction to the Constitution” class …or link to each one of them below: Continue reading

0234_Proposed Local Improvement District (LID) to be pushed onto Evergreen, Colorado_ Dean Dalvit video June 6, 2017 at Evergreen Lake House_the Delphi Method/Technique

Donna Jack
July 17, 2017

A meeting in June, that will be considered
to have gotten “public input” and
to have shown “public support”

Not many people knew of the June 6, 2017 meeting at the Evergreen Lake House – nor did they know of its significance.  Questions were not allowed during the meeting, though people were promised that they could ask questions as soon as the formal presentation was over.  They were not told that they would be unable to ask any questions in front of other people, but would be broken up into groups after stretching their legs.

The Delphi Method or
Delphi Technique

This is the Delphi Method, a tactic I have witnessed repeatedly  in the Jefferson County Colorado public school district.  It is used at almost every one of their public forums and workshops.  No matter what the meeting, there is no real input from the public, no answering of questions, no discussion — at the most, people are “given choices” that are already on the table to pick from.  It is a tactic meant to keep people from asking any questions that are answered in public, and keep them from having any influence on public opinion and outcomes.  The outcome is “predetermined.”  No discussion is allowed for others to hear.  It is meant to muzzle people and guarantee that those in “control” can bully their own way through.

An excellent, detailed article you can read on this technique is :  “The Delphi Technique:  Let’s Stop Being Manipulated!” by Albert V. Burns.
http://www.vlrc.org/articles/110.html

“The process used to ‘facilitate’ the meeting is called the Delphi Technique. This Delphi Technique was developed by the RAND Corporation for the U.S. Department of Defense back in the 1950s. It was originally intended for use as a psychological weapon during the cold war.

“However, it was soon recognized that the steps of Delphi could be very valuable in manipulating ANY meeting toward a predetermined end.” Continue reading

0233_Recent headlines on the Immigration Issue sent out by a friend–Trump’s administration is getting things going

Donna Jack
July 17, 2017

Today a friend sent out links to these article, telling of what President Trump is doing about illegal immigration.

Recent headlines in the immigration issue:

Illegal immigrants face charges for first offenses – The Wall Street Journal — July 14, 2017
…Until recently, first-time offenders were deported instead of being criminally prosecuted. That changed as of June… The illegal immigrants are charged with misdemeanors and tried in federal court under Operation Streamline, a 12-year-old initiative in which the migrants are charged, enter pleas and are sentenced within a few minutes in large groups… A decline in the number of people crossing the border has freed up resources for the Border Patrol to go after first-time offenders, the agency said…

New photos show President Trump is making good on his number one campaign promise – building a ‘big, beautiful’ border wall between the United States and Mexico. Left leaning Texas Observer published photos of contractors preparing the construction of the wall. You’ll read the site was more concerned about the wildlife of Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge in South Texas than the President keeping his word on curbing illegal immigration…

0232_ An autobiography by Robert (Bob) Ruesch_ looking back at summers growing up in the shadow of his wonderful father who for thirty years managed and expanded the YMCA of the Rockies_ Estes Park, CO

Donna Jack
July 7, 2017/update July 17, 2017

Recently I read Robert (Bob) Ruesch’s autobiography (In the Warmth of the Shadow:  A boy, the Rocky Mountains and God … See what happens).  This refreshing book recounts his years growing up in a world-class resort retreat center in Estes Park — the YMCA Camp of the Rockies.

Bob begins each chapter with an inspirational and thoughtful selection from Scripture, and then proceeds to recount events which take you back in time.

You will experience a very long ride to camp, in a car that isn’t air conditioned.

You will anticipate doing the “seeming” simple job of chopping watermelon for 2,000 to 2,500 hungry vacationers, and then realize it is not that easy.  Continue reading

Our right to own property and be able to make decisions about our own property, is shrinking at an alarming rate.  When property rights are destroyed, also destroyed are “free enterprise, the American way of life, and ultimately Freedom itself.”
